You have recently moved house and want to install a new kitchen in the next few months. The existing kitchen has to be removed. The project must be finished by November 18, as you have family visiting you from overseas - they arrive on 25 November - and you are hosting a big family celebration. You have a budget of $40,000. You would also like to renovate other parts of the house including the adjoining lounge area which although recently painted would not match your preferred colour scheme for the kitchen. It is a large lounge area and would be quite expensive to paint, but cheaper if you did the work at the same time as the kitchen. You need to present in class on the following two aspects of the kitchen installation project . The presentation should last 10-15 minutes with accompanying slides and is to be delivered in class in week 8.

Scope Outline how you scope the project and what activities/tasks need to be completed in order to install the new kitchen on time and within budget. Be very clear what is included in the project and what is not included in the project. Explain how 'scope creep' might impact the project.

Risk Having scoped the project, discuss the potential risks that might impact the completion of the project and what steps you could take to mitigate or manage the risks
