You lead a team of Corporate Governance Officers at a leading business consultancy firm in Kuala Lumpur. Your manager asks your team to examine the topics of board structure, technical competencies, and personal characteristics of board members in the form of a comprehensive Report.

Then, the findings of the Report should be used to prepare checklist to be used by company secretaries, governance officers or consultants when they are asked to conduct a board evaluation of a Public Listed Company. You are allowed to have a maximum of 10 items in your checklist.

Note: the item recommended in the checklist must be well supported by the analysis of international or local corporate scandals as well as findings of at least THREE (3) peer reviewed journal articles on why it is important for corporations to include review of the topics suggested as part of its board evaluation. Additionally, you are required to refer to reliable sources of reference such articles, Papers or Reports from reliable sources to substantiate your recommendations for the checklist.
