You must model a machineshop that includes 2 workstations: POSTE1 and POSTE2. The workshop manufactures three types of parts (P1, P2 and P3) for the wind sector according to the following percentages:
Distribution of orders | Type of parts | Colour |
40% | P1 | Green |
30% | P2 | Red |
30% | P3 | Blue |
The plant is in operation from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day of the week. Orders arrive at an average exponential rate of 40 minutes. These parts are quite bulky and the size of the orders is always one piece. The parts all follow the same sequence of operation: POSTE1, POSTE2, INSPECTION,REPAIR (if necessary) and PACKAGING. Travel times between shifts are negligible.
In ITEM 1, the operator must perform the following tasks: T1) mount the part on the machine tool (100%), T2) change thecuttingtool (30%), T3) adjust the machine tool (100%) and T4) machine the part (100%). Animate your model so that the part changes color with each task according to the following table:
Tasks | Colour |
T1 | Yellow |
T2 | Crotchet |
Q3 | Violet |
T4 | Orange |
Machining times (in minutes per part) have been collected for each of the tasks performed at POSTE1, and they are available in the Tasks file _temps.xlsx. This file includes 150 representative times for each task (T1 to T4). In ITEM 1, priority is given to P1 parts.
At SUBSTATION 2, the machining time follows a triangular distribution (8, 10, 12) minutes. There is one operator per machining station.
Subsequently, the parts are inspected. The inspection time corresponds to a Uniform distribution (10, 20)minutes per piece. There is an inspector. Thereare 5% of the parts that need to be repaired after the inspection. The repair time is according to a Uniform distribution (20, 40) minutes per part and it is theinspector who takes care of this task at the same workstation.
Subsequently, the pieces are put on a pallet to be packed. The packaging time is Uniforme(30, 40)minutes per order. There is a packer. The pallets are then delivered to customers. Due to the lack of space, there are only 4 pieces that can be stored between the inspection and packaging station: 2 after inspection and 2 before packaging. According to the production manager, this situation causes a blockage at the inspection station.
Deliverables:
Check whether the T1.txt datacan be approximated by a Uniform Distribution (5, 10) by performing a chi-square test with one = 0.05. Use a11 intervals. You must provide the details of your calculations.
