You started to work at a company. The company's first initiative for you is to reduce transportation costs. You've been tasked with overseeing the shipping of ten different items(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J). You'll be in charge of shipping the goods to ten stores(S1,S2,S3,S4,S5,S6,S7,S8,S9,S10) in ten different cities. The company operates out of three massive warehouses. The X warehouse has a daily capacity of 40 tons, the Y warehouse has a capacity of 25 tons, and the Z warehouse has a capacity of 35 tons for these ten items. Every day, you must load goods from these three warehouses onto trucks and deliver them to ten stores under your supervision.
You sell 10 types of goods.( Each store sells 1,000 A, 200 B, 200 C, 500 D, 10,000 E, 2,000 F, 2,000 G, 1,000 H, 1,000 I, 2,000 J. )
The exact data is that the average daily sales of ten goods in all stores total 100 tons. Trucks leave the warehouses at 6 a.m. every day (except Sunday) and must deliver all of their cargo to the last store by 10 a.m. the same day.
Each company truck can transport up to 5 tons of goods. These trucks are one-of-a-kind. Every truck has three separate compartments. These three compartments have a capacity of 1 ton, 2 ton, and 2 ton, respectively. Only one form of product can be transported in each compartment in each transport due to companys’ consistency and cleaning regulations. You must purchase the trucks you need. A truck costs 700,000$ per piece to buy. cost of truck fuel per km is 2.01 $, Daily cost for per driver is 136$, , the annual maintenance cost of per truck is 2,000$ and each toll road payment is 50$
A)Identify how many drivers you need.
B)How many trucks can be used to complete this operation
C)What is the least amount of Money for his operation?
*You should also include the LP and/or ILP models you developed, as well as the models' performance.
*Also, specify the number of trucks by evaluating the data in your report in Excel Solver, which calculates the lowest cost based on the information you have.
