- You want to build in a safety stock quantity of 45 - this safety stock value should be built up and maintained as fast as possible. (The planned "stock level" should never drop below 45 once you build it up to the desired quantity.) - Your capacity constraint is the motherboard test work center (MB-xxxx). You cannot schedule more production than you have available capacity at this work center. This means that your capacity requirement hours can never be greater than your available capacity hours. In other words, capacity load percentage, which is the ratio of the capacity requirement hours to the available capacity hours, should never be 100% or greater! You also want to minimize excess inventory, thus, you do not want to end a month with the stock level above 45 unless it is absolutely necessary (which it will be for one month). This could be the case if you need to build extra inventory because of a future month capacity problem. Note: You should use the Excel template SAP Lab 6 Capacity Load Percentage Calculations Worksheet to develop your plan. You can use a trial-and-error procedure but you need to pay attention to the criteria given above. You do not have to submit you Excel worksheet. Just make sure to enter your Production quantities into the Production row on the Create Rough-Cut Plan screen. Specific steps are given next. You will now manually enter the aggregate production plan for all desktop computers in the months 01/2024 through 06/2024. Enter the production plan based on the above three criteria and hit Enter. Make sure to verify your plan is feasible and it is satisfying the above three criteria by using the SAP Lab 6 Capacity Load Percentage Calculations worksheet
