You were fired from your job after some nasty social media posts became public. I mean, seriously, you should be ashamed. You have not been able to attain more than part-time work since. While taking your rusty old car to the dollar store, you strike a jaywalking pedestrian on School Street.

 The pedestrian later died and you are brought to trial for vehicular manslaughter. Because you don't have enough money for an attorney, you are forced to represent yourself. You are quickly found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in jail.
