You will play the role of a consultant that has been hired to assess the process of change on the structural design of a company mostly focused on the manufacturing and distribution of healthy beverages. This company has been growing, exponentially, in foreign markets. Yet, the company is operating under the scheme of a functional global structural design in which the strategical decisions are exclusively made by top management. The company works in a B2C environment which means that the understanding of the evolution of the customers (in relation to their patterns of behavior) it is extremely important. To keep growing and to maintain market shares globally, the company has realized that they need to take a more divisional global approach and, consequently, a less bureaucratic decision-making process.
