You will play the role of a customer in a restaurant. Choose a restaurant that you have never eaten at before and that has wait-staff to serve you at your table (not a self-serve, fast food or buffet style restaurant). Visit the restaurant and have a meal. Tell us about your experience.

what you will include in your document is:

1. The name of the restaurant you visited and the date and time of your meal.
2. What made you choose this establishment (advertising, referral, etc.)?
3. A brief description of the wait-staff person who assisted you (name, age, dress, attitude, any other points of interest).
4. Did the wait-staff member use an ice-breaker to open the conversation (if so what did they do) or did they immediately attempt to take your order?
5. Did the wait-staff member attempt to establish a relationship with you? If so how was this handled (what did they say)?
6. Describe the service provided by the wait-staff (attitude, willingness to make suggestions regarding your order, promptness of service, accuracy of order and speed of billing, etc.).
7. Before you order pick something on the menu and ask the wait staff to describe it to you to test their product expertise.
8. Describe the meal you chose and rate the quality of the food, presentation and price.
9. Did the restaurant provide any other supplementary services (music, visual entertainment, greeter, etc.) and, if so what were they and how would you rate them?
10. Overall how would you rate the service you received?
11. Would you eat at this restaurant again and would you recommend it to your friends? Why or why not?
