Your assignment is to participate in a Discussion of the cases to date. The discussion should center on (1) similarities and differences that exist among the cases, (2) what has been done to strengthen the audit function since the cases occurred, and (3) what has not been (or cannot be) done to reduce the likelihood that the situations that occurred in the cases occur again.

Cases to be discussed are: Enron, WorldCom, New Century, Madoff, NextCard, Lincoln S&L, Health Management, United Way, Gazprom, India & Tata, & Ligand
