Your brief is to create an imaginary company that supplies an electric car manufacturer, it can be any electric car manufacturer of your choice. The car manufacturer has told you they are having problems with their current supplier and have asked for an overview of your company in order to decide whether you have a strong enough strategy and business to be considered as a replacement. You can base your company in any part of the world however you will need to explain the supply chain to get your parts delivered to the customer. As you consider your company I expect you to think through your strategy for that company and apply the tools we learn throughout the 1st half of the semester to it. Ensure that you provide (your) Company Profile. 1. What are the products you make or services you provide. 2. Then what are a set of spheres that make sense for your organization. (Both sets of 3 spheres) 3. Create an Activity Systems Map a little like the one we studied for IKEA. Provide a clear set of activities and ideas. 4. Outline which organizational structure type is most appropriate. I am not looking for a org chart but using the structure models we discussed, and articulate why the one you choose is most appropriate. 5. Conduct a PESTEL analysis for the organization you are covering. Be sure to complete a PESTEL and document findings for each area, 6. Proposed "Organization structure" 3 benefits provided with a clear explanation of how the proposed structure delivers value. 7. Select a collaboration partner and explain the benefits and risks of that partnership (it cannot be your customer). 8. Identify and provide Collaboration partner SMART Objectives and benefits and Risks for the partnership. 9. Finally as a group agree the scores for each person and their participation in the project put each team members name in Column A and then their scores for the rest of the team against their names in Row 1.
