Your company has decided to add an additional reactor to increase the conversion of your main product from 70% to 95%. Your reaction of concern is A+B -> C where -rA=(0.04 Lmol-1 s-1)CaCb. The current system includes a mixing point, long section of pipe, and a CSTR. The mixing occurs right at the start of the long section of pipe. The entire system operates at 325 Celsius. Both A and B are fed into the system at a partial pressure of 2atm and a molar flow of 0.8mol/s. The long section of pipe essentially acts as a PFR and consists of 100ft of 4in ID (internal diameter) PVC pipe. The resulting mixture is then fed into a 24.3m3 CSTR. The current design has the mixture exiting at 70% conversion. Please suggest a single additional reactor to add to the system (either before or after the CSTR) to bring the final conversion up to 95%. You need to minimize the volume of the new reactor. You must include a flow diagram, drawn using a computer program of some sort.
