Your company in Australia specializes in designing networks for local and international clients. Your company has signed a contract to design a computer network for Prestige Auto Mart (PAM), a newly established motor vehicle dealership in Melbourne, Victoria.

This dealership operates in several major cities in Australia. Their head office is in Melbourne and the branch offices are in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin and Hobart. Their services include buying, selling, leasing and exchanging new and used passenger and commercial vehicles such as cars, vans, and trucks. PAM offers fleet services for corporate customers and sales and trade-ins for companies and individual customers. They have a showroom in every office where customers can view the vehicles they intend to purchase or lease. PAM provides an online web portal where customers can view the vehicles available for sale and their details, place an order for a new or used vehicle in stock, or can place an order for a new vehicle with their preferred options. In case  of new vehicle purchase with customer preferred options, if a suitable vehicle is not available in stock, PAM will liaise with overseas vehicle manufacturing plants to source the required vehicle at a shortest possible time and will notify the customer when their order is ready to collect. PAM also provides a delivery service for the customers where the purchased or leased vehicles could be delivered to a preferred location.

Customers can place an order either by visiting any of the offices or using the web interface or using the mobile App of PAM. The orders placed will be processed using an on-site customized proprietary software of PAM. By using this software, PAM will not only reserve the most suitable and available vehicle from their fleet in the nearest vehicle warehouse but also deliver the order, if required, to the customers in a minimum time. This whole process will be automated through suitable mobile devices with distribution truck drivers connected to the city office of PAM.

PAM provides online and on-site payment facilities for the customers to pay for their orders. The network should be available 24/7 to store the real-time stock level and reservations of the vehicle fleet and their customer details. PAM needs the guarantee that their proprietary algorithm, and various data and information in their information system are highly secured. Further, they need to have an integrated CCTV system with remote monitoring for all their vehicle showrooms.
