You would then find the factor of that, which would also add up to C (19). The two factors would be 27 and -8. When you add these numbers, the problem would look like. 6X2 + 27X -8X -36 = 0 Once you have gotten to this point, you would find the common factor of the first and last sets of terms. The first two terms would factor out 3X and the last two terms would factor out 4 as the greatest common denominators. This would look like 3X (2X + 9) - 4(2X + 9) Next you would factor by grouping. (3X -4) (2X + 9)
