I am not one to say it's not true, because I would have no way of knowing. The article says it is believed that they are saying this to damage control which I do think is possible. The article also mentions that China had at one point claimed that their balloon that flew over the US was a weather balloon. Ahmet T. Kuru The Conversation For this weeks article I chose this one that discusses why Pakistan and Muslim countires are passing blasphemy laws. Blasphemy is the act and offense of speaking sacrilegiously of sacred things. In Pakistans case insulting Muhammad is punishable of the death penalty. The new blasphemy laws they placed now also include sacreligious talk of the prohpets companions which could include thousands of early Muslims. The new laws if violated are punishable of 10-life in prison. This article was really eye opening to me and shows us how involved and important religion is in some other countries and that the government and law is very involved with what we would consider one's personal life. In the US we have freedom to choose our religion and have freedom of speech
