Your long lost Aunt Ethel (who you did not even know existed until now) has written you a Birthday check for $100,000.

I am looking to Create a portfolio using that $100,000

Need research, analyze, and select a minimum of five different investments. for each investment selection need to provide the thesis (i.e. your rationale) as to why you feel that this is a good investment at this time. The "Thesis" section for EACH of the investment selections should discuss : Technical Analysis; Fundamental Analysis, and Analyst Recommendation(s).

Required Sections:

I. Discuss your "Investor Characteristics". 10 points. (250 word minimum)

II. Discuss your "Portfolio Objectives and Policies". 10 points. (250 word minimum)

III. Discuss your "Asset Allocation Scheme" (i.e. how are you going to diversify your portfolio). 10 points. (250 word minimum)

Based upon the above you are to select six specific investments (5 investments plus your Cash Allocation) to allocate your $100,000 between.

You should have a "Cash" allocation as one of your six investments. Your "Cash" allocation should not exceed 10% of your overall portfolio.

You are to use the tools and techniques covered in this course when selecting an investment; which are to be detailed in your selection rationale.

Your investments can be ETF's, Mutual Funds, Closed-end funds, individual stocks, individual bonds, real-estate, or cash. It is up to you. However, you are required to explain your rationale for each selection made. The "rationale" section is where you earn your points.

IV. Individual Investment Selections; with Symbols. (Remember - you have to select a real investment vehicle - you can't just say $20,000 in bonds)
