Yum! Brands, Inc. is the worlds largest restaurant company. Currently, it owns Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC. These restaurants are the global leaders in the pizza, Mexican, and chicken fast-food categories respectively. Yum! has decided to acquire McDonalds, which is the largest fast food hamburger restaurant in the world (This is fictional). The FTC is evaluating the merger of the two companies to determine whether the merger would harm competition.

Your group should provide an argument pertaining to the appropriate product market in this issue. Specifically, I want to know how you would define the market and why. Subsequent to defining the product market, you should provide a market concentration analysis and explain whether the firms merger would likely have adverse competitive consequences. You should use the 2010 Horizontal Merger Guidelines to provide guidance here. You are free to include any data or reports with respect to these two companies or the industry and will likely need to do so to estimate market share
