The company is having a normal working hour of 8 hours per day, 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, payable of RM15 per hour. If the employees are working during weekend, it is considered as overtime which will be paid as follows: Monday to Friday Saturday and Sunday The first five hours of overtime is paid at 115% of normal rate and the additional hours are paid double Overtime is paid double Amin and Alang are paid under time based and the following is the daily cost card for both on the first week of January 2021: Monday Day Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Amin 8 Alang 8 9 9 8 10 9 8 8 9 3. 5 5 Afik is a newly hired worker, which will be paid at RM12 per unit and he is given guaranteed minimum rates of RM700 per week. In the first week of January 2021, he managed to produce 55 units of furniture. Required: 1. Calculate the gross wages earned by each worker for the first week of January 2021. 2. Calculate the gross wages earned by Afik for the first week of January 2021 if the following differential piecework rates is adopted and no guaranteed minimum is applicable.
