Zhang is a buyer of a motor company. He has to travel a lot to find adequate suppliers so he can often be seen at some big motor and vehicle fairs. He is very famous in his circle and a smart buyer. But recalling his early career, Zhang Would tell you one of his failures at his purchasing job. Scan was a very famous vehicle and motor parts manufacturer based in Sweden. Zhang knew the products of Scan were reliable so he tried to talk with Scan's salesman at an international fair, with the intention to get a deal done. Everything seemed going on well as the both sides started, but when Zhang tried to bargain the air was getting tense. "Our quote is based on careful calculation, there is no room tor any cutting down, the Scan's salesman said politely but firmly. Zhang insisted, as that was a common practice. And what surprised him was the Scan's salesman picked his case and left.
