To be successful in college, some would argue it is important to have a mentor, someone who cares about your personal and academic development and who can guide you throughout your academic career to help you make important decisions about life and school. If you were to choose a mentor, what characteristics would they have? Would it be important that they are of the same ethnicity as you are? Would it be important that they are the same gender as you are? Would it be important that they share similar worldviews as you do?
