Keep a diary for two weeks of where you shop, what you buy, and how much you spend. Get your parents to do the same thing. Tabulate your results by type of retailer. Are your shopping habits significantly different from or are they similar to those of your parents? Do you and your parents’ shopping habits coincide with the trends discussed in this chapter? Why or why not?
