3 Visit the website of the UK’s Design Council ( www.design-council.org.uk ). There you will find examples of innovations in many fields. Look through these examples and find one that you think represents excellence in innovation and one which you don’t like (for example, because it seems trivial, or may not be practical, or for which there is no market, etc.). Prepare a case supporting your view of why one is good and the other bad.

In doing this, derive a checklist of questions which could be used to assess the worth of any innovation idea.
