a. State the null and alternative hypotheses necessary to test this theory.

b. Suppose that, of the 25 food categories in Exercise 6, the store brand was found to be better than the national brand in 8 of the taste comparisons, while in 10 pairs, the tasters could taste no difference between the two. Use the sign test to test the hypothesis in part a with a <.05. What practical conclusions can you draw using the results of Exercises 6 and 7?
