1. Although we could simply enter this data into third and fourth columns of the current worksheet, let’s create a new worksheet using File ➤ New ➤ Worksheet. Enter the Days into column C1 and the DJIA into column C2.
2. To create the line chart, use Graph ➤ Time Series Plot ➤ Simple. In the Dialog box that appears, place your cursor in the “Series” box and select “DJIA” from the list to the left. Under Time/Scale, choose “Stamp” and select column C1 (“Day”) in the box labeled “Stamp Columns.” Click OK twice to obtain the line chart shown in Figure 1.25.
