Drip irrigation. In agriculture, water is distributed to the active root zone of plants using a drip irrigation system. The system involves drippers and drip lines. The quality of the water flow pressure in drippers was studied in the Brazilian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (September 2017). When the process is in control, the flow pressure of the drippers is normally distributed with a mean of 1.5 kg>cm2 and a standard deviation of .002 kg>cm2 . The LSL and USL for the flow pressure are 1.47 and 1.53 kg>cm2 , respectively.
