11.93 One important feature of the plates used in high-performance thin-layer chromatography is the water uptake capability. Six plates were modified by increasing the amount of cyanosilane

(CN). Water uptake measurements (Rf) were then recorded for three component mixtures

(BaP, BaA, Phe) used with each plate. Six measurements were made on each mixture/plate combination. The data are in shown in table below. Fit a model relating % CN to mean Rf for each compound. (The models could differ.) Do the values of s suggest any complication?
