A researcher is interested in conducting a survival analysis comparing a new drug treatment for inflammation of the joints in arthritis against a placebo control group. They are interested in the time from randomisation to time for participants contacting their family doctor for a further consultation about pain in their joints. The study lasted for 26 weeks. The data are presented in Table 15.7. Please run survival analyses on these data and generate survival curves, hazard curves and test for a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the survival curves.
