Open the GSS2016.sav. Use the “Crosstabs” procedure to generate a cross-tabulation between political views and Internet use, with political views as the independent variable. Click on “cells” and tell SPSS to include the observed frequencies, expected frequencies, column percentage, and standardized residuals in each cell. Use the appropriate dialog box to run a chi-square analysis of the relationship.
