Visit your neighborhood mall and list the stores from the mall directory. This may include food and beverages; leisure and entertainment; beauty and wellness; IT and photography; fashion apparel;

sporting apparel, and home and furnishings.

Conduct some simple research by visiting and interviewing two or three different types of stores.

Assess the number and types of staff employed.

Does a particular shop or category tend to employ certain types of employees? What types of retail tend to have greater diversity than others?
