The SCM organization at DSW stepped through three distinct steps. The first was the integration of a single domestic SCM organization responsible for all aspects of SCM. In the case of DSW, this included procurement, supplier development, traffic and transportation, and distribution. The second step was the integration of a single international SCM organization responsible for managing the company's non-North American SCM needs. The final step was the integration of these two regional groups into a single global activity.
