Identify a local community organization in your city or neighborhood. Contact the organization to learn in advance about any upcoming health communication intervention it may be planning, and whether it is organizing any meetings with the groups it serves and community members to secure their participation and input on program elements. Ask to attend the meeting and analyze and report on your observations about the process of community engagement and participation in the development of different elements of the action plan. Alternatively, research and review two to three case studies on the same topic and summarize lessons learned.
