1. Would you say that TN’s blindness is caused more by a problem with sensation or a problem with perception? Why do you think so? We have noted the important distinction between sensation and perception, and we have examined the processes that underlie both of them. We’ve seen how external stimuli evoke sensory responses and how our diff erent senses process the information contained in those responses. We also have focused on the physical structure and internal workings of the individual senses, including vision, hearing, balance, smell, taste, and the skin senses, and we’ve explored how our brains organize and process sensory information to construct a consistent, integrated picture of the world around us.
