The data for operating profits in the Canadian oil and gas sector and the manufacturing sector that are referred to in this chapter were the most recent available in February 2009. If you have this textbook in your hands (or you are reading it in MyStatLab), more recent data will have become available. Go to the Statistics Canada website, access the most recent data available for the quarterly operating profits of the two sectors, and create revised histograms and time-series graphs. Be careful to note any revisions to earlier data when you do this. Write commentaries to compare the amounts of the quarterly operating profits, and the patterns over time.
