This book is an excellent resource for anyone studying business statistics. The illustrations and real-world examples stand out, making complex concepts easy to digest. I appreciated how the authors balanced theory and practice, giving enough context to better understand statistical methods. Honestly, I can't recommend it enough if you're in a statistics or business program. Got it with a sweet discount using my membership, and it arrived ahead of schedule, securely packaged. A total win!

Found this book through a course reading list and scored a free copy, which honestly made my day because textbooks can be crazy pricey. When I got to Chapter 5 about Probability Distributions, it really grabbed my attention. Before that, I was struggling a bit to keep all the different distributions straight – like when to use which one and why. The way that chapter laid everything out made it clearer than I expected. The examples helped me see how these ideas fit into business problems, which made me actually interested instead of overwhelmed. A little aha moment for me was how standard deviation and expected values are tied directly into expected risks and returns – suddenly those numbers made a lot more sense outside the textbook. I even used one of the probability models from the chapter to think through a small project at my part-time job where we had to predict sales turnout. It’s kinda cool applying that from a book to real life. Only thing that threw me off was that some terms were kind of scattered throughout, so I needed to flip back and forth a bit to remember what was what. But that didn’t ruin the experience, just made me pay more attention. I'd tell my buddies in stats or biz courses to grab this for sure – especially if your prof demands you use a Canadian edition. It’s got just the right info for the typical struggle people face with stats, and getting it free was keyed in nicely.

Needed a stats book for my University of British Columbia class and grabbing this for free was a nice surprise. Haven't gone super deep yet but flipping through it, the pages look good and the examples so far make stats seem less like a headache. Pretty chill to use at home or in study groups since it sticks to stuff relevant for business without getting super nerdy. Shipping came faster than expected too which didn’t hurt. Early days but this book seems like it’ll actually help me out and not just sit on my shelf lol.
