Needed something quick for my course ACC 201: Principles of Accounting I and grabbed this on a discount, so the price was definitely right. It feels okay for what I need so far, mostly simple stuff which works because I’m just beginning. The pages are clean and it's not a horribly thick book so I don’t get overwhelmed, but I don’t think it’s gonna blow me away either. Honestly, I’ve only skimmed through the first chapters and it seems to do what it’s supposed to - teach the basic rules of accounting. If you want more than the basics though, I’d guess you’d feel kind of left wanting.

The book is okay. It provides a basic introduction to accounting, but I found certain sections a bit too superficial. Despite this, it's a decent starting point for anyone new to the field.

The explanations are clear, with plenty of examples that make complex concepts easy to grasp. The material is comprehensive, covering all the basics we needed to understand for exams. I also appreciated how quickly the book arrived—it was well-packaged and in perfect condition. Highly recommended for anyone embarking on a journey into the world of accounting!

The 14th Edition of College Accounting provides a robust foundation for understanding the basics of accounting. It presents information in a straightforward manner, which is essential for beginners. I liked that it balanced theory with practical problems, which kept the material engaging. Although I didn't have any issues myself, some of my peers mentioned issues with delivery, so check your shipping options carefully. Overall, a good addition to my learning arsenal.

This book is an excellent resource. If you're looking to get hands-on with accounting, this is your go-to guide. It's packed with practical examples and exercises that bring theory to life, something my other textbooks tend to lack. I also got an extra discount with my Prime membership, which was a nice bonus. Overall, an indispensable tool for both students and aspiring accountants.

The book covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of accounting well. It includes numerous real-world scenarios that help you apply what you've learned. It's a solid resource, though there were a few topics I felt could have been explored more deeply. That being said, I found it extremely helpful for my coursework. Arrived quickly, thankfully, as I needed it right before the start of the semester!

Grabbed this on discount from SolutionInn for my course ACC 101: Introduction to Accounting Principles and it showed up pretty quick which was a relief. haven’t checked out everything but the parts I did look at made sense and weren’t super confusing, so helps a lot with settling into accounting terms. the pages are clean and easy to read, nothing crazy overwhelming. the price was easy on my wallet too, so can’t complain. feels like it’s gonna be a helpful resource at least for getting through this semester without sorting through harder stuff. nice find overall!

So, I was digging around online trying to find a decent accounting book for my intro class, and I stumbled upon this version of College Accounting on sale. Price was way better than others I saw so I went for it. Got it just a couple of days ago and yeah, it looked crisp and new, no complaints with how it came.
The thing that really stuck out for me was Chapter 10 – Financial Statements. I was kind of stressing about how confusing those statement things would be, but this section breaks down the income statement and balance sheet in a way that's way easier to get than I expected. The book jumps right in with examples that match real stuff, which made me sit up and think, ah this actually comes together!
Reading through those examples, it started making sense why companies report things the way they do and what numbers actually matter. The “aha” moment hit when they explained how.transactions affect each statement differently and how to catch if something’s off. That made me less anxious about my upcoming homework and exams.
One little thing I wish was better though – some of the diagrams could’ve been sharper or in color, cuz I had to reread a couple times when they weren't super clear in black and white. But the text itself balances right fine, not too much fluff, not too bare.
I already found myself remembering these points in class discussions and even noticed a news article mentioning profits where what I learned instantly clicked in. So, definitely feeling like what I’m picking up here will matter beyond just tests.
If you're chilling somewhere between accounting basics and wondering how real-world biz numbers fit, this textbook’s a pretty sweet helper especially if you catch it on discount like I did. Glad I grabbed it!
