Grabbed this on discount for my course COMP 302: Advanced Operating Systems and it’s been a great help so far. haven’t read every chapter yet but the parts I used have clear explanations that actually make the tough stuff way less confusing, which is nice cuz OS can get pretty wild. book feels sturdy and shipping was quick too, so no complaints there. nice surprise to get a solid textbook without paying full price. definitely feels like a good weapon for exams and projects.

For my Palos Park University class, snagged this book at a discount and started using it about a week ago. So far it's been pretty easy to follow and makes some of the OS concepts less scary than I expected. Haven't finished the whole thing yet but chapters I read feel solid. Book feels decent build-wise and by the time I needed it, it was already here—no drama. Worth picking up if your course covers stuff like scheduling or memory management because the explanations help a lot even if you haven’t been around OS before. Definitely glad I didn’t pay full price, would recommend for anyone needing a decent textbook on this subject.
