The floats all have the same dimensions, but they appear to differ in size depending on their location within the cylinder.
(a) Does a float near the front surface of the cylinder (the surface closest to you) appear to be larger or smaller than a float near the back surface?
(b) FIGURE 26-72 shows a ray diagram for a float near the front surface of the cylinder. Draw a ray diagram for a float at the center of the cylinder, and show that the change in apparent size agrees with your answer to part (a).
