In the United States, the U.S Patent Office allows patents for all manner of business methods including, for examples, a patent for Amazon’s 1-Click method for purchasing goods on the Internet with a single click of the mouse, Priceline’s name-your-own price reverse auction process, and Mattel’s system that allows its customers to order personalized toys.
