Starting salaries of MBA graduates from two leading business schools were compared. Independent random samples of 30 students from each school were taken, and the 60 starting salaries were pooled and ranked. The sum of the ranks for students from one of these schools was 1,243. Test the null hypothesis that the central locations of the population distributions are identical.
