4. Paper or Plastic?

Work with a small group to put together an outline for a short report informing consumers about the advantages and disadvantages of paper, plastic, and reusable shopping bags. Start by brainstorming some of the factors that might be important to consumers.

Then use the internet to conduct research, and list information about the advantages and disadvantages of each type of bag. Try to find information from a variety of sources, including environmental groups and the plastics industry.

As you uncover information, you will likely find factors that you had not considered during your initial brainstorming. If so, modify your outline to accommodate this new information.
