One of the members of the team, Jason, monopolizes the discussions at your meetings, interrupts others when they are speaking, and regularly discounts other members’ contributions. He does contribute his marketing expertise in the meetings. However, his behavior disrupts the team meetings and reduces the effectiveness of the team. Convey the necessary message to Jason to rectify this situation.

b. Eleanor recently submitted a report that you had asked her to prepare that contained the sales figures for each of the sales representatives and calculated the commission to which each was entitled. She turned in the report two days late, so you missed the payroll deadline for issuing the checks this month. In addition, a few of the numbers didn’t look right so you double-checked her work.You found several calculation errors. Handle the situation in the manner you think is appropriate.

c. One of your newest employees at Cassie’s Casual Wear seems to have a problem staying focused and listening to determine the customers’ needs. She often has to ask them several times what they want. Just yesterday you saw two customers walk out of your store because they felt they were not getting the attention they deserved. Approach your new employee, Julie, and offer to go over your expectations for your sales employees and give constructive feedback so that she can achieve those expectations.
