(a) Your employer is noted for his bad memory. He left yesterday for a business trip and, despite your efforts, he has left his itinerary behind.

How can you ensure that he keeps his appointments?

(b) Your boSs is busy at an all-day meeting. A client of his, who has already telephoned twice during the week and has not been able to speak to your boss, arrives in your office and angrily demands to speak to him. What will you do?

(c) You have certain reasons to believe that the office junior for whom you are immediately responsible has been taking money from the petty cash. You talk to her about this and she admits having done so.

(d) You find out accidentally that your boss is taking action that you believe will be harmful to the firm. What shouldyou do?

(e) You have been unwillingly forced to listen to a piece of gossip about your employer which could affect his position at work. What will you do about it?

(f) Your boss is attending a conference in a foreign country when a civil war breaks out. You hear nothing from him for several days and he does not return on his scheduled flight. How can you attempt to find out whether he is safe and if and how he can return?

(g) Your boss has just l~ft by car to meet an important client who is arriving at Gatwick Airport. You receive a telephone call saying that the client has just touched down at Heathrow, since his plane was diverted by fog. What will you do?
