2. Oral Characteristics of Other Cultures. Interview an international student either in class or in your school. Ask him or her to summarize some of the difficulties experienced in using English. What oral habits of U.S. students are found to be different? Are there specific sounds in the English language that are especially difficult to master? It is interesting to collect a series of statements from different foreign students in order for you—as future businesspersons—to better understand the difficulties faced by others speaking in their second language.
