Question:

3. Oral Report After an Interview. This project involves an interview (for information-gathering purposes) and an oral presentation (for informationdissemination purposes). Your first task is to identify and interview a person who has a type of job or career that you hope to enter upon graduation. The purpose of the interview is to determine what kinds of communication activities that person must engage in during a typical week. You should not only cover the types of written messages sent and received but also determine the volume or frequency, the job title for the originator of the incoming messages, and the disposition of the messages (what your interviewee does upon receiving each type of message). Do not forget to cover oral communication messages (verbal orders or directives, telephone requests, etc.).

For outgoing written or oral messages, find out to whom (title of person)

the messages are directed. Unless the interviewee keeps a log of such activities, you will have to depend on the interviewee’s estimates for some of the information.
