Youth unemployment. The United Nations has developed a set of millennium goals for countries, and the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) maintains databases to measure economic progress toward these goals (unstats.un.org/unsd/mdg). Data extracted from this source are on the disk. One measure that is tracked is the youth (ages 15–24) unemployment rate in different countries.

Is the unemployment rate for the male youth related to the unemployment rate for the female youth?

a) Find a regression model predicting Male Rate from the Female Rate in 2005 for the sample of 57 countries provided by UNSD.
