a. Reactant \(\mathrm{A}\) is most volatile, and \(\mathrm{B}\) is of intermediate volatility between products \(\mathrm{D}\) (least volatile) and \(\mathrm{C}\).

b. Reactant \(\mathrm{B}\) is least volatile, and \(\mathrm{A}\) is of intermediate volatility between products \(\mathrm{D}\) and \(\mathrm{C}\) (most volatile).
