Record 10 minutes of natural connected speech (either from friends or from the radio or television). Briefly describe the sample and the speakers involved. Ignore the first 5 minutes; then take any 3-minute section and listen to this numerous times. Make a list of the weak forms, assimilations, and elisions you hear in this section, and note down each example in transcription. If more than one speaker is involved in the section, note which speaker uses which of these features.
