In Q2FY2015, Nestle India registered its First Loss Found in 1866, Nestle has operations in almost every country in the world. In Q2FY2015, for the first time in two decades, the Nestle India Limited, the Indian arm of the Swiss multinational reported a loss. Its primary businesses are food products including milk products, beverages, prepared dishes, cooking aids, chocolates and confectionery. The Table ahead presents its quarterly financials for 2015. The first line of the notes of the company had "Results for the quarter have been impacted by the MAGGI Noodles Issue". News reports in June 2015 i.e., near end of the quarter suggested that the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) banned the sale of Maggi noodles saying it was 'unsafe and hazardous' for human consumption.
