As an accountant for a large business, you might be put in charge of training new hires in the accounting department. Or you might be asked to discuss project cost over runs with a department manager or to present operating results to senior managers. In these situations you need skills other than just your accounting knowledge. For each situation make a list of the skills needed; then decide whether you have those skills and, if not, how you plan to acquire them.
