A final exercise is to download a trial version of bibliographic software (e.g., EndNote Plus, WPCitation) and then conduct a literature search using a search engine such as PsychInfo on a topic area of interest to you. You should then enter the references of interest into the software, paying particular attention to the information being entered and the type of reference you are examining (e.g., journal article, book chapter). As many researchers will attest, writing references accurately is often just as difficult as writing the actual paper! This exercise will allow you to practice referencing different materials and provide you with an overview of some of the bibliographic software tools that exist.
