Biological treatments of depression (chemical imbalance theory) are based on the biological explanations for depression. Recall what you know about biological explanations for disorders and formulate several postulates (statements) that function as assumptions of biological treatment.

For example: assume that symptoms are caused by an imbalance of neurotransmitters in the synapse, hence we believe that restoring neurotransmitter balance in the symptoms will reduce symptoms.
